Can my artist tattoo directly from this?

Yes, they can use the print as a stencil to work from. It isn't tattoo transfer paper itself, so bring the print along to your appointment and your artist will handle the transfer their own way. Most are glad to have it, since a real print gives them something a photo can't.
Why not just take a photo to my artist?

A photo flattens the paw and loses the pad shapes, so the artist is interpreting rather than tracing. A print is a direct impression at real size, which means what ends up on your skin is the actual shape of your pet's paw.
Does it have to be printed at life size for the tattoo?

No. Your artist can scale the stencil up or down. What matters is that the proportions and pad detail are true to begin with, which is what the print gives you.
Will my pet sit still long enough?

A print takes a second or two, not a minute. Each pad gives you around two attempts, so a wriggle costs you nothing. Most people have a usable print in the first few goes.
Does the ink get on my pet's paw?
